lol
I beat all over the tank. Even tried driving the truck off the curb. Wonder if the sending unit is finally shot.

I just got done resurfacing metal plates for a twin disc clutch... It goes driveshaft, plate 1, clutch disc 1, center plate, clutch disc 2, then plate3, then gearbox... Grrr. Middle plate I had to remove 1/8" exactly to get it anywhere close to being usable. Certainly better than it was, but even 30000RPM was hardly a match for it. It was pitted and misworn so bad it wasn't funny, which explains why it ate up clutch discs so fast this last time, should last longer now!

On another note, we are becoming interested in buying a brand new John Deere tractor to replace our current tractor. 4 cylinder turbocharged inline, with about 85 PTO HP, has a 31.7gal fuel tank, and 12F/12R SynchroShuttle. 4 gears are shiftable on the fly with the clutch, 3 ranges have to be selected at a standstill, and directions can be changed anytime without the clutch. And its got John Deere's awesome tight turning MFWD on it.

Undo all the lines and wiring to at the fuel pump, unscrew the ring and lift the pump up a little bit, this might unstick the sending unit. There is just enough room for you to do this..... just.

today was the towns 150th birthday. after i reminded my sister she brought the kids down and they seemed to enjoy it. lots of free stuff. there was pretty much no parking spots left by the time my sister got there so i gave her my parking spot and parked at my dads house which is only 3 blocks from the event and biked back on my folding bike.
