If the needle valve is moving, just try putting it back together and try starting it again. Otherwise you will have to rebuild it, looks varnished to me.

^Yeah. +1.

Put it back together and run an assload of SeaFoam through the gas. I swear by that stuff. To put it plainly, it stopped me from having to rebuild the carby on my mower.

While your at it put 1oz. of 2-cycle oil per 2 gallons of fuel, that does WONDERS on old carbs.

WD-40 will remove the varnish just fine and is a lot cheaper.

Yeah, that.

Then SeaFoam the hell out of it, clean the entire fuel system out.

Ok, here's what I got, lawn mower will start but not the normal way.

Normal way would be ok choke and once it fires you set the power level

Now it won't fire on choke but will at the lowest power level, it dies at the high power setting, and while it runs on the low setting it sounds weak (even for low setting) and gas continues to drip (rapidly) from the bowl.

Is the power setting a air metering device or does it control the fuel as well?

No idea.

It controls the flaps or whatever they are called inside the carb.

There are 2, and both are hooked up right, and are working right.
