I know, soo true.

On another note, the GC tranny is holding good after it's rebuild, gotta change the fluid, but shifts nice and everything.

The engine however is loosing coolant like a mad man, internally as far as I can tell. It also is running rich all the time but is coming out of warm up mode. My suspicion is I am losing a cylinder, and it isn't burning all the fuel. Computer isn't picking up on certain sensors/controls being unplugged either. It runs rough at idle, and under load. But it has 200K on it so no surprise.

Going to get my instruction permit today, if I can find my social security card...

I am still on dial up and getting to there site takes forever.
Dial up?! People still use that?!?!

I couldn't do it! lol I haven't used a dial up modem in like 12+ years!

the internet on my cellphone even when I'm out and about is faster than T1...I would use the cellphone wifi hot spot before I ever resorted to dial up!

Even going from my current cable speeds:
to my g/f's slow DSL speeds is painful

That's your home connection? Almost 60mb/s???? Holy smokes.

Yes, I am suitably jealous.

Me too.

But I think he's right close to a major hub or whatever......

I get 10Mb solid over my wireless connection, could get more if I wanted it. They've been testing and have had no problems pushing 50Mbps through the network....

I have wireless... .but, I am like 8 and a half miles from the tower.... I am surprised I get signal at all during spring-fall..... (unlicensed frequencies) I am lucky if I can hit 1.5mb/s.... If that didn't work, my only other choice would have been Satellite... and I had NO desire to go there. WAY too expensive.

I get 5 on average now, I think the satellite is out of alignment, but rumour has it that government grants have been received by the local telecommunications company to extend their DSL coverage, so I am going to have to call them and see if we can get it. Speeds won't really be better than satellite, but ping time and bandwidth restrictions are far better.

My radio is 7.4+ miles from the AP, I use a MikroTik Groove with a Parabolic antenna and get -71 with the trees in full bloom. Usually hits -66 in the winter months.
