ethanol content is 10% max here. but it is near impossible to find gas without ethanol in it.

running premium vs regular is not going to make a difference and is just going to cause you to burn more gasoline.

Racing fuel is especially not going to help.

87 octane gasoline has a lot more energy in the fuel per gallon than higher octane racing fuel, and has over 3x the energy in the fuel as nitromethane which is the stuff the 8,000hp 3 to 4 second top-fuel dragsters run on. the reason the make so much power on nitromethane is because they burn so much of it... they burn 1.3 gallons per second when they launch! but with that they accelerate 0-120mph in less than 1 second pulling 5 G's accelerating.

Gasoline around here with ethanol contents is as follows:

87 - Less than 5% (not measurable) - $3.75/gal, excellent fuel economy
89 - 15% - $3.50/gal, poorer fuel economy
91 - Less than 5% (not measurable), - $4.00/gal, excellent fuel economy
93 - 0% - $4.00-$4.15/gal, excellent fuel economy and better power (better formulated gasoline)
110 - Unheard of... - $$$$$$$ - only good in Lamborghinis...

Still too damn high. When I bought my truck gas was $1.86.

Damn Obama administration.

All gas stations I've seen in Florida have a sign that says less than 7% Ethanol. Gas prices in my area are $3.28-34.

I pass by this truck almost everyday, if only it was cheaper. Looks beautiful.

Come on guys! Really? Enough! How many more OFF topic threads do we need that go off topic? For that matter, (how many more OFF topic threads do we need?) This is the "General Discussion" section for the 2nd gen Ram. (Dodge Ram related). I am guilty of the same thing in the past, but it's getting out of control at this point. Do you all really want just one off topic section here on DF?

Stay on topic, or they will ALL be merged into one. Thanks

Yes gas is terrible around here as far as price goes... 87 octane has been up to $3.97/gal earlier this year, but a strike was threatened...
