My dad has a 23 tbucket that we put a built 350 in, fun as hell, but completely impractical.

Not quite that impractical. But if 2 people are riding in it then the shifter is usually in the passengers crotch. Good thing when your passenger is a chick, but slightly uncomfortable when me and my dad are riding in it. Sometime it gets stuck in 2nd and it looks like your jacking off the passenger trying to get it out of 2nd, lol.

I think the truck is starting to burn oil, noticed a small cloud of white smoke today while backing up, it smelled like burn oil, wasn't a thick cloud though. Only does it every so often....

Car lot in town that had the Chevy I liked has a 4dr 3rd Gen, couldn't tell if it was a Hemi though...

lol. ya. that thing is really impractical. who needs a hemi in a unboxed model T frame? apparently it has lots of frame flex.

That ain't cool. Sure it's oil? Oil doesn't burn white....
Valve guide seals might be going. Mine did that for a short while whenever the oil was allowed to run low. Maybe you should install a catch can to see if the PCV is gulping in any excess oil.
