got the cam reindexed. my suspicions were right I was one tooth off. due to the fragility of the chain tensioners on these motors I opted to not you the tensioner tool and when I let the slack out of the chain it turned the sprocket one tooth. ill upload a video of it running later for shuts and giggles.

 

DEF Blue? now is used in diesel emission control, a year ago it was still called UREA, we were using it as a fertilizer for some veggies, last winter we still had some thousands of pounds left ( granulated UREA), we were told to get ride of it mixing with "chicken compound", buried, or spreading in unused fields. i was told that the urea is not for sale as fertilizer anymore, but as emission additive is more expensive.

Installed new ignition switch, battery cables, and terminals on the boat today. Now it needs a new starter solenoid. I fully understand the meaning of the word "BOAT" now, break out another thousand. Luckily i found one that will work at oriellys about 30 min away for $23. Ill go pick it up monday. Now that the switch is in though i have found what works and what doesnt work. My air horns no longer work and neither do any of the lights, so looks like ill be chasing some shorts tomorrow.
