People with 4wd often think they are invincible. They don't realize it doesn't help you stop any faster, or they think that it magically makes it possibly to bomb down the freeway at 75 with bald street tires in a blizzard. "but I had 4wd I thought that it would keep me out of the ditch!" Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but not much lol
I also learned recently that some of the Awd systems aren't really Awd, they wait until they lose traction to engage, which means it might be too late. If this is old news to you all, my bad.
With that said, I am excited to see how my full time 4wd durango does in the snow, I have heard they handle pretty well, we will see

Exactly. I always keep a chain in the bed during the winter months, to pull out the stupid people that discover that little fact the hard way. I always laugh when I see some idiot in a 4x4 blow past me in the crappy weather. I usually have my wife start getting the outdoor gear together, as I am quite certain I will find him in the ditch at the next bend of the road, and far too often, I am right.Originally Posted by AppelH

Whoever said "A fool and his money are soon parted." Was quite correct.

Its similar here in Florida but on the beach. There's areas to drive and park for a reason, but so many people go where they aren't supposed to go and get stuck. Then you have the areas that are marked "4x4 Only" and families in their Mini-Vans decide that it would be a wonderful idea to use that road, lol. But yeah I agree many people think they're invincible with 4x4 and scratch their heads wondering how they got stuck when they have completely bald tires. Its always fun seeing 5-10 people trying to push a stuck 3-Row SUV buried to the axles.

Dana 80? Not unless it's aftermarket probably.
Edit: Or unless it was transplanted I should say. Don't think any 360 came with the 80

360 magnum with auto transmission. And it wouldn't have a 241hd it would would have a 241ld. Originally Posted by AppelH

80 only came behind the V10 and Cummins manual. The autos got the 70.
360 magnums have 60s front and rear. Would still be a good swap if the price was reasonable. And nab that t case while you're there

DLD vs DHD depended on options. And who says it didn't have a V10 or Cummins in it and they weren't grenaded?
People are idiots, so yes, could have happened.

True. But like I said, people are idiots so anything is possible. Including the guy being completely ignorant of what he's got.Originally Posted by Ham Bone
