^ and this is why our country is nothing compared to what it used to be. We cant just have teachers and presentations at schools that will just teach facts. Everyone is so damn focused on their own damn agenda they have no idea how they are affecting the kids that look to them for guidance. And sadly they will grow up believing this crap and spreading it around, since very few read books on their own they will never read the truth, just keep hearing made up crap.

^You're only partially right, Redhead in that even if they read the books they still would be getting an agenda pushed on them. It started in the 70's has been getting pushed faster and faster every year it seems like. Common Core teaches kids that our founders were terrorists. Really? Maybe to England, but to us, they were patriots and it needs to be taught from our side. There are many other problems with it, but that's just an example.

no History needs to be taught from BOTH sides. to the brits we were terrorists but from our sides they were patriots.

The founding fathers were hardly the impeccable heros the books tell us they are

also, we need to get back to the separation of church and state thing

For f*cks sake.
I can agree with you on the teaching it from both sides but goddamnit that Separation of Church and State don't mean what you think it means.

Get your head out of your public school *** for once people. There is NO WHERE in the Constitution that specifies ANYTHING about it. I've READ THE CONSTITUTION.

It was in letters from Jefferson to the Baptists who were afraid there was going to be a state (country) religion like England.

Yes they were afraid of having a government forced religion but one specific religion should never have gotten so ingrained into a government that was supposed to be for the people and not just out to appease the majority who are Christians

Wasn't hard to do at the time when 95% of the citizens had the same value set. Now, values are all across the board. And you must not be religious.

Fun fact about me is that I'm far from religious, but I am a Christian. Dunno how that works. Like I said earlier, tons of different value sets.

Good thing you guys know your history. I never paid attention and kept falling asleep my junior and senior year in class. If I wasn't asleep, I was looking out the window at the vehicles. Specifically my truck.

Teacher was my cousin too, haha.

What happened to merc? I don't see him posting anymore.
