yep...cummins reference. as said: 98 was the 12v p7100, 98.5 was the 24v vp44.

they also call 98 12v's the "grail" truck because it has the updated interior of 98+ but the full mechanical 12v engine (24v went to hybrid mechanical/electronic injection control with the vp44)

Also in 1998.5 they changed the PCM for the gasoline engines. It was actually earlier than 1998.5 but it is just said that way for ease...

And in 1998/1998.5 they changed the interior...

Next big update was in 2002, when the quad cab was made slightly bigger and the next generation PCM for both gas and diesel engines was introduced...

Sadly the Thanksgiving Weekend in Fairfax is coming to an end tomorrow... Breakfast around 9am, leaving around 12pm.

My uncle works for a local Government Contractor and they have some openings, he encouraged me to apply, so I did.... He said it could take a year and a half to get my security clearance, simply for financial reasons.

Truck handles the 10 minute red lights pretty good, city gas mileage hasn't been too bad.

Ya gotta admit it's a awesome truck. Period. No questions asked. If I had 16K to go throw around I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

At any rate, it looks like you ran into the roseboosh. Lol.

They make nice saws, but, they are heavy...... I like the Husqavarna (however that's spelled) saws better. Just as powerful/reliable, but, much lighter.
