Mine starts good too, but I get annoyed on the really cold days because right after I start it and it idles for a few second than dies. I'm pretty sure the problem is from having Lucas stop leak power steering fluid. I think it gets real thick in the cold. After it dies and I restart it the pump makes a whine noise(not from the belt slipping) and once I turn the wheel back and forth it goes away.

Yeah it shouldn't stall like that. What kind of temperatures do you have? My truck has started in -30 Celcius without being plugged in. Heck I don't plug it in until at least -10. Never had a problem. But that's may be due to my 1000 CCA battery lol.

It does it every morning when I go to school and it has been below 0. I never plug it in. The battery and everything are good though. It cranks over and starts really fast.

Mine barely starts in 20* weather, lol.

Tomorrow is supposed to feel like -20 they say so I'm just going to put a charger on the battery.

Don't worry about the temp with the wind chill because the wind has no effect on something that isn't over the ambient air temperature. Do you have a block heater?

Only worry about the wind if it's enough to blow your truck away.
