The Official 2nd Gen RAM Forum OT thread
Off I go to let the wrench monkeys back at my truck. PATC says that if they'd made such a mistake, they'd do a full fluid replacement and free car wash, too. Whether or not Drive Line Services stands up remains to be seen...
Nah, it's Shep -- and he's a good guy as far as I can tell. He doesn't turn wrenches, but listening to him on the phone for a couple of days he's super knowledgeable about axles, transfer cases, and such. As is his partner in crime, Dave. Shep was a mite nervous when I strolled in there this morning, as his eyes were already bleeding from the blistering email messages I'd hurled at him.
I just got back with everything finally in order. They didn't do a full fluid replacement, just the five or so quarts from the pan (Derale deep "turbulator" pan), but I'll not bitch too much about that. I plan on doing a full replacement within a few thousand miles just to be sure, and I know that I won't screw it up. Anyone else, well... my luck has not been good with "professional automotive technicians". Wrench monkeys **** me off to no end.
All's well that ends.

Just dodged a bullet with my PC.
It froze on me and wasn't doing anything aside from kicking on the fans after restarting it. No post, no beep codes, nothing.
I took the CPU cooler off, the ram/video card out and cleaned everything out then put new thermal paste on the CPU and the GPU (had to take it apart to get at everything under the cover) and it's all good now.
It's got to be that it overheated (haven't cleaned it in quite a while) or re-seating the ram and video card did the trick.
