Any electricians in here? I made this thread in the Off Topic and haven't had any hits yet. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/off-top...l-in-shed.html
Basically I'm wanting to know if I can use 12ga wire for my neutral and ground wire to run from the end of the house to the main breaker panel, I have 8ga wire for my hot wire, but I don't have any more 10ga wire to use for my neutral and ground.

I have a sub panel in the shed that is 30' away from the house.

It has an 8ga hot wire and 10ga neutral and ground wires run underground to the end of the house from the shed and they're sticking out of the end of the conduit under the house waiting to be connected to the main breaker panel.

I have some 12ga wire that is long enough to run the extra 30' to the main breaker panel but not enough 10ga wire.

So is 12ga good enough?
Can it be connected to the 10ga wire that is already there?
Should I go ahead and get some more 10ga wire to use for the ground/neutral?
Is the 10ga/12ga good enough for the ground/neutral on a 120v sub panel that won't have more than 15-20 amps drawn from it at a time?
