i dont like the looks of dropped trucks either. Atleast fullsized trucks, the 2nd gen dakotas ans the mid 90's S-10's can look ok but i would never do it to a truck i own.

If done right and not hacked up, S-10s look great bagged. But most are hacks, have horrible wheels, or are just hacked. Did I mention the hacks? I think the best look on a S-10 is a 3/4 drop with 17'' wheels or a stock ZR2 (The ones with the big fenders, 31'' tires, and a beautiful rake). Hopefully today I can go and look at an 80's S-10 today. Wanna get something before I get a liscence so I have a year to build on it as I turn 15 this February and will start Driver's Ed shortly after. I love S-10s.

Yeah, it is really only a cheap conversion if the S-10 you are putting the V8 in was originally carburated, or if you convert it to carb yourself. Or if you had the 2.8 or 4.3 V6 with TBI you could just swap the intake on the swap motor to a TBI manifold and you would be set with FI. The 2nd gens are a little harder and more expensive because you have to deal with the SFI Fuel Injection. A harness and computer to put a LS1 in my dad's '99 2.2L 4 banger would cost around $600, because it would be all custom. That is what we plan to do with it when he buys a Cummins for a work truck in a couple years. Right now its in sad shape but putting money towards a good looking work truck isnt worth it. The deer ruin everything!
