Ok. After searching a bit, its a "plume moth". I never seen one in my 32 years so, I say it qualifies for WTF.

i know. i was kind of thinking the same thing. how did a intoxicated driver hit a pole that high up? i guess we will never know.

Probably one of those goofy light poles that sits on the corner, and isn't as tall as the suspended intersection lights. Then the drunk guy "followed the lights"
