I met Jesus Christ when I was in the Air Force. He was a technical sergeant who was pissed off because the AF wouldn't let him grow out his hair and his beard. And he was on roads and grounds duty until they could shrink his head enough to discharge him.

True story.

What I really want to know: Why are there stones and dirt clods in bags of beans, which are not a root crop, but there are never stones or dirt clods in bags of carrots, which are a root crop? Do they pay some jerk to shovel that crap into the beans to increase their weight, or what?

If carrots are grown in sandy soil, they come out VERY clean.

As far as beans go, the headers ride at ground level for the most part. Very easy to pick up stones.
