When I say GBps, I mean GigaBytes per second. That's how all my network speeds are measured. Or MegaBytes per second, or KiloBytes per second. Seems strange, but that's how I do it.

nope, and nope. all done by me. i installed a battery tray from a cummins, and converted to dual batteries, installed v10 springs, 2" HD aal, and put E rated tires on it.

truck came with some what of a tow package(mopar class 3 hitch and 7 way round plug) didnt come with an aux trans cooler either. but i installed one of those too.

my plow weighs 717 without a cutting edge on it. cutting edge weighs another 75-100 pounds. so roughly 800 pounds hanging on the front... truck drops an inch when plow is raised. a cummins with a plow prep pkg drops more than that with the same plow.

side by side, my truck will out plow a 3/4 ton hands down.

so your friend has an 8Gbps connection to the internet backbone directly? most ISP's can't handle that kind of bandwidth.

btw 8Gbps would be equal to 8x 1 gigabit network interfaces teamed together to make 1 connection...

as far as I know no home PC is running faster than a 1Gbps network interface unless its fibrechannel or the bus between blade servers.

also that internet connection would cost well into the tens of thousands a month...if not hundreds of thousands.

not tryin to be an ***, but I don't believe you lol. not unless your friend is running a datacenter...

No it's not. But if I had $8500 to sink on a truck I'd be getting that thing tomorrow!

Yeah he's in a megadatacenter. Lots of servers... They have dedicated fiberoptic internet. It's big time LOL... So you can believe me now. It's in NYC as well...

Only two of the computers I maintain right now have a 1Gbps network interface. Most have 100Mbps. I found out that most PCs and laptops turn off true duplexing on the ethernet card by default. I turned it on and voila... Internet was soooo much faster.

preparing dinner for tomorrow. just have to decide whether to bake some potato or fry up some pirogi's. i guess it really depends on if someone remembers to pick up some spices at the grocery store to make the potato's taste very good.
