Eh I havent heard about this on 8k. I have had my headlights for 3-4 months and they are working fine, the box says 3200 hr lifetime and when the bulb blows you just replace it you do not have to buy a new kit. the kit I bought says its water proof too they show it being submerged in water which is a plus when you drive a truck. I havent submerged mine yet but they have taken on quite the bit of water with all this rain we've seen here over in Michigan lately.

Anyone have a kit post up your pictures

Stock HIDs from the factory are usually around 4300k.

Lumens chart, showing what K temps are best.

And a graph showing the Kelvin temp ratings for bulbs.

5000k-6000k are best. Give nice white look, and not much lumens difference between them and stock HID bulbs installed from factories in high end cars. Anything higher may look "cool", but you're losing visibility.

I plan on going 6000k headlights and 4000k or 5000k fogs when I order my DDM kits here in the next couple months.

So I'm thinking about purchasing a DDM Kit and installing it before I leave for BASIC.

9004 for the headlights, what I should use for the fogs? I think I'm going to use 6000K.

Finally, Xenon? Or Bi-Xenon? I don't understand the concept of Bi-Xenon. Through some googling it looks like Bi-Xenon bulbs have comprised of one high and one low beam in the same bulb contained in the same housing. They're switched by moving a shield in front of the bulb or moving the bulb in the lense.

So being I have a 97 with dual headlights (?) I need Bi-Xenons, correct?

I don't really want orange/yellow. I was thinking 5k for the fogs. 35 Watt for the fogs and 55k for the lights. Would you know anything about what type bulbs? I think its 9004 Bi-Xenon for the lamps, dunno about the fogs.

I had this problem too. The stock fog for mine was 896 same as my buddies durango. we were told that this 880/881./890 and so on kit would work. So I let him buy it and it held up well so I bought mine, I couldnt be anymore happier. ill try to go out and take some better pictures. Post yours in here too when you get them!
