I sent him an email about a half hour after he made this thread, asking about the compression gasket vs a fel pro metal/rubber gasket. I'm just waiting for a response now.
The reason I didn't use it is because that is what was on my truck and it was leaking.

The OBD I trucks have EGR and the OBD 2 trucks don't. I assume that means that he intake does not have EGR provisions.

Nice, welcome to the forum and we're glad to have your feed back on issues we may have on parts and service and would love to have your company as a sponser of our forum.

I am currently looking into becoming a sponsor on this site and I am going to try and spend a little more time on here answering questions and responding to comments. I can't do it as much as I would like to but I will try to be a little more active. One thing we pride ourselves on is our tech support and customer service. We spend more time with customer and answer more technical questions than anyone else in our industry. I don't like hearing negative comments on either of those things. Hopefully I can respond to those and try and help correct whatever issues come up when there is a problem. However, people who complain about our service or products and have never even dealt with us...... are pretty low on my list. You can e-mail me directly at Hughes Engines with any questions or comments at kevin@hughesengines.com if you need a quick answer or suggestion. I will try to watch on here for situations where I can lend a hand or offer an idea but it may not be as quick as you would like. Anyway, I look forward to spending some time here and to hearing from you guys in the future. Have a great day, Kevin

What was the part number for the FEL-Pro gasket? Was this it?

I'm pretty sure that is it. You will know if it is right or not when you match it up to the plenum plate.
