I'm using this gasket as the template for my plate! Might as well go to the junkyard Saturday and get the steel plate off a truck and use that as my template.

That will be good for you to do that because then you will have some experience at taking the intake off. Then when you take yours off, it'll be a breeze.

You will be glad you did when you do the install on your truck. The gasket takes longer than it should when you've never done it before.

Plus I have to tear down the front of the motor, because I'm replacing the timing chain, too.

I'm a little late to the party, but welcome to Dodge Forum.

I purchased my plenum kit from you, like many others, and in combination with a Felpro gasket, am very pleased with it.

This may sound stupid but why dont they just include a felpro gasket with the kit since that is what is widely used by most purchasers? Might be able to get a discount on it or something.

It very well could be that they have a partnership with a certain company to stock there gaskets in the kit. It sucks but thats what usually happens.

I went with the Felpro right off the bat. It just has a lot more substance that the strip of plastic that came with the plenum repair kit.

It's metal and may very well work better for all we know. That's why the question has been asked.
