When you do the plate's do you notice any performance incrase, other than the obvious oil consumption decreasing. My truck has slowly started to lose power over the time i'v had it and i know i have a blow to hell plenum "1 QT of oil every 2 weeks" i was just wondering if it had any effect on the actual throttle response
Not a whole lot, but it may be noticeable once you reset your PCM afterwards. It messes with the air/fuel mixture, which messes with everything from power to gas mileage.

What will help though is that after the plenum plate fix, you can now use tuners without issue (bar other problems with the truck).

Mine was pretty much the same after I changed the gasket, but mine wasn't a horrible leak because it had a compression gasket on it and it was just seeping past.
If it were the stock rubber gasket then it would have been leaking more since the stock gasket makes the plate sit off the intake a little more and when it blows, chunks fly out leaving a nice gap for the oil to flow through.

VERY true, i hear that with a bad plenum an if ou get a tuner it causes major pinging, so the first move on upgrading the truck would be plenum

And if it's losing power over time, that's the cat getting clogged. Better fix it too.

I noticed a huge performance increase from just using seafoam down the intake with my blown plenum. You guys should see the back of the valves after the plenum has been blown for some time. The 360 I got for my truck had a blown plenum and there was 1/8 at least of carbon build up on the valves. I had to scrape it off with a putty knife.

No tuners for OBD1 PCM's. There is a Mopar Performance PCM available and a company or two that you can send yours in and they will tune it. I'm sure someone will chime in with more info about that. Plus, if you do a search you will find that info.
