I don't think the shocks are doing squat. (aside from keeping a couple bolts from rattling.) The truck has 160K+ miles on it, the shocks are EXTREMELY rusty........ but, the truck IS a 3/4 ton.... so, I expect it to ride like, well, a truck....

Put 3000 pounds of dirt in the bed, and oh my, does it ride nice. I may have to pull the shocks, just to see if they are indeed doing anything...... really hard to tell.

if you go over bumps and dips in the road, and it seems like your truck is flowing in the breeze and REALLY bouncy...then your shocks are DONE.

My truck is getting like that, and before I put the rancho's on my 1996...it had BAD body roll. After the switch it was like driving a new truck.

I would not say that the RS5000s are STIFF. THey are just very tight. They were a good ride and they are what i am getting. 48 bucks a piece and you get a 50 dollar rebate when you buy 4...can't beat it.

Looks like theRS5000's have great reviews, I'm gunna go that route. Mine aren't blow yet but at 75,000. I figure if I have the money I best do them now. I know my stabilizer it out though.

Im debating on a leveling kit as well. Rear goes ground to top of inner fender is 44" and in the front its 41". So If I get the front leveling kit to make that difference, I have to get shocks are are longer as well right?

Please let me know ASAP. I'm headed out to Summit here in a few hours. THANKS! guys!

It isn't really bouncy.... but, a crosswind REALLY makes it interesting to drive. Shocks are something that needs to happen, but, there are other things higher on the priority list at the moment, these are definitely in the future though. Rancho shocks it is.

Thanks Guys.

Went with the 5000's. And I love them!! Nice and smooth. I need to get some on the rear now too. Put the leveling kit on as well and a new stabilizer.

i have rs 9000's. they are adjustable. i didn't splurge for them, i wouldn't. they ride nice, but for 200 a piece, i'm sure i can find a better shock, lol. but, those are the only ones i have any experience with. i would be curious as to the difference between those and the rs5000, or even a set of pro comps. they are both fairly cheap and affordable. but here's a link to all kinds of shocks if it helps. http://www.ntwonline.com/Shocks_C366.cfm

Gave my truck a good rocking today and noticed i have a busted shock in the rear, advanced has some deal's going on, Going tomarrow to pick up some rancho RS5000's. I'd like to replace them all around but i have to do ball joints and tps sensor this week too. Anyone know the rancho part number for the stabilizer shock??

Used one promo code on advanced website, $40 off and free shipping, and another one $35 free shipping. Paid $70 for the pair of RS5000's!
