It's known that it makes the clunking noise. No issues.

It's normal. Especially on rebuilt transmissions, but the factory build will do it too. Nothing wrong.

Yup, mine's been doing it since I got her right before 50,000 miles. Factory tranny, no issues. Every Dodge my family has ever owned as done it, never an issue.

Question is do you hear the same clunk when after you shift to drive and take off? If it does, that isn't normal and may be your u-joints going out. That's what cause my issue with my t-case.

I've heard that a certain amount of 'clunk' is built into these trannys intentionally... to keep from tearin up the tranny or something, can't really remember why...

Driveline slop. No big deal, so long as it isn't TOO pronounced. Check all or your u-joints, if they are good, block the tires, stick the truck in neutral, and rotate the driveshaft by hand, you should get a SMALL bit of movement, and that's it. If that's ok too, then don't worry about it. It's a four wheel drive.......
