Dude if you are driving that far every day ditch the truck.

Thats what killed my dads truck when diesel hit 6 a gallon up here and it needs some other work and there was some medical bills from when we got hurt. (me and him got into a nasty snow tubeing accident)

He picked up an 04 hyundia elentra gt for 13k only had 4k miles on it. (I'm going back a few years at the time the car was less than a year old) Dude who had it broke his foot and couldn't drive stick so he got an auto. He gets 38 miles to the gallon in that car man. Grant it he drives it like an old man (hes 53) and pops it out of gear going down hill all that he can. But for the price you can't beat that. That car has everything but a sunroof(grr) leather the better sound system you name you go it. Its a good car now fast forward a few years the car has 86k on it and it still goes strong still factory clutch.

Only issue we have had are the rear breaks hang up when you use the parking break.

Its a great little car.

Its better than the pryass that we have as a loner car sucker is only at 50mpg and they cost a hell of a lot more and are but ugly!

i agree with bigslick, i love my truck way to much to sell it , prob just save for a new 360 longblock mild or 408 longblocks run 5000-12 depending on how built you want it and rebuild the tranny and get new rear end 4.10s
Fixed it for ya! LOL I feels the same way too! Saving for full frame off restoration of Betty after I get my 06 Cummins. Wanna do a full rebuild of engine and trans and make really beefy. I'll be shooting for around 350 horse, all throttle. And yes, def 4.10 gears! (can you believe I'm still running 3.55 gears with my 33" Nittos?) And get 14-15 MPG hwy

mines a DD, i put about 30-40 miles on her on the weekdays, weekends its usually alot more, im constantly driving to central kentucky, down and back is about 220 plus what driving i do while down there... i havent had much problem with things going bad other than just normal wear... i get 9mpgs on a good day, and it drains half my tank to go one way to central kentucky, but i love my truck, and ill pay for the gas to be behind the wheel of it

70 miles per day (minimum) five days per week right here. 98% of that is all highway miles. I'm hoping to "park" the Dodge so I can drive a 4-banger daily.

Now that I got the transmission fixed I am driving mine everyday 32 miles one way. I carpool so every other week I get to let her rest.
Heck my truck rides better than any car I have ever owned. So as long as I can afford the gas and she holds up I'm going to drive her.
