What I meant was that there are a few other speaker brands out there that fall into your price range that I have never used before. Brands like Sound Ordnance and the like. The ones I linked you to will work perfectly with the head unit and that's what I meant by the comment.

Well considering that the people that installed my link are complaining about the bass reproduction, I'm not amazed. In fact, you'll see that around half way down the page a commenter makes note that if you want to drastically changed the bass output of the system, you need to amp those or step up to the Kappa upgrades.

Two and three way speakers is just tweeter design. Most have one, but some will have two and that's what makes them a three way.

Kenwoods are "meh" I've never been impressed with them but I've never just hooked them into a deck only either. Boss is just about like Sony in terms of build... Diamond is decent.

Some 3 ways have a small woofer, mid range, and then a tweeter.

I probably know the answer, but what is the issue with the sony explode car audio? Most hate it. Dunno why.

Its low end car audio equipment for the beginners.
Only single voice coil I believe 4 ohm.
Nothing fancy just a cheapy walmart, bestbuy sub.

Crutchfield sells them though.
