Default Pics of new 23's and some opinions needed.

Hello guys, i just got some new wheels and thought i'd post a pic or two. It was kinda late in the evening and the iphone didn't do to good of a job but you can make it out at least. Anyway, just got some new 23's and thought i'd share. I figured they would be way bigger than what i wanted but i got a good deal on them so i went with it. It actually looks better than i thought it would.

I'm in the process of fixing it back to its glory. My parents bought it new back in the day and it was my dream truck all through high school so it has a bit of sentimental value. But most of all its paid for, ha.

The sun has done a number on the paint since it has spent most of its life without covered parking. My orginal plan was to paint the entire truck flat black, rims and all. I know its not for everyone but i like the look. After putting on the new rims and using the ole "take a picture while its wet" trick i sort of like the way it would look with a fresh coat of gloss black. So opinions...Gloss or Black? I've got Katzkins going in it next friday so when i get the chance i'll post some pics. Thanks.

Thanks Raven.

Yeah, i don't know what the people designing rims are on these days but most are waaay too out there for me. I like a simple 5 or 6 spoke wheel. I just happened to luck up and find these. I was going to the local shop to order some black KMC Slides and a customer had these in there for sale. I think i did alright for $1100. The tires are practically new.

Just seems like it would be easier to maintain than gloss black. Wouldn't have to worry about swirls and small scratches as much.

It will be removed once it goes to paint. It's been on there since 99. It's still got a Dixie Chopper license plate on the front too...haha.

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised! I'm not a fan of the huge blingin rims, especially on our beloved 2nd gens, but you sir pulled it off They are fantastic looking wheels!

Do you haul anything? I think you should lose the rear bumper in favor of a rollpan, it would just compliment the look IMO

Great lookin truck!

If you are talking about the mower, those things make me throw up, the exact opposite feeling I get when I see your truck. My god it looks kick ***.

When you gonna bag it? It looks a little high in the air.

Oh yeah, dont paint your wheels. Chrome or polished wheels look great on a dark colored truck.
