So I found this '98 Ram 1500 SS/T for sale today. My bother has been wanting to get rid of his Xterra for a while now and we figure this would be the perfect truck to replace with...he was looking for a 2nd gen Ram anyways...
So the interior is in pristine condition, exterior looks to be garage kept and in excellent cond no dents or dings. 5.9 mag, auto 2wd of course. 69900 original miles, dead stock completely unmolested. Flowmaster duals, A/C, all pwr, cd, cloth int. Matching painted tonnaue cover. White w. blue strips. Never crashed or harmed. Asking $5500. I feel like this is a real good deal, usually can't find this pkg truck for under $8K. KBB Retail value = 6000, KBB Private Party Value = 4750
So what do you guys think? Worth at this price? I figure it should get around 15-17 mpg on the highway? (My bro drives all highway back and forth for school) And he should be able to afford any minor repairs and maintainence costs... We will look at it tomorrow morning, it is local.

I would rate the interior a 9.8/10 exterior 8.9/10 and the undercarriage/engine compartment a 9/10.
Overall feeling was excellent. Brakes great, handles very nicely, and runs damn good! Paid $5300 for it, or I guess I did for now...lol in a way I feel like it is my truck right now even though he will have paid me back within a few months from now.....
So, here are the options:
'98 Ram 1500 SS/T Reg Cab SB 2WD
-all power, windows, locks, mirrors, driver seat
-cloth int
-infinity sound system, cd/cass
-locking tonnaue cover matching, tweeters
-Dodge rubber bed mat
-fog lights
-tow pkg
-overhead console
-cruise/ tilt column
-factory carpeted floor mats
-5.9 mag auto w/ O/D
-3.73 gears??? limited slip diff
-Flowmaster 40 series duals
-Good year 275/60/17
-Bone stock and xtra clean
-I think it pretty much has every option you can get for the year and pkg?
I will post lots of pics tomorrow for him. He had to leave for school just a few hrs after we bought it, so I will be watching over for now...
Future plans include headers, hemifever SCT Tuner, Dual E-Fans, 14X3 Mopar round air cleaner, deep tranny pan, and a full tune-up. No plans for cosmetics for now....except for the dodgeforum.com decals in white of course!
Oil change, filter
Tranny fluid change, filter
Dist Cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires (it has 8.5 taylors on now)
Coolant flush,
Drain PS fluid and replace
Rotate tires
So these are the plans for now, let us know what ya'll think...Or if we should add anything to it...open to suggestions, but we really just wanna do simple bolt on mods to make this truck come to life

That truck is screaming for a set of fat Firestone Firehawks with the white letters out.
I think the only two problems I see with this truck is the fact that it is not in my driveway, and it doesnt have a 5-speed...
Take the tonno off. Your bro is going to get some in that truck and the tonno will just be in his way.
