Default How Many Miles on your transmission before you Rebuilt it.

Hello Everyone,

Just wondering how many miles you had on your original transmission before it bit the dust . I got water in mine and had to rebuild it, but my transmission guy said it was inevitable as there was a lot of wear and tear inside. Mine had 279,157 kms . or 173460 miles.

Just shy of 98k miles and it's on the way out. I suspect the original owner never bothered to switch off the overdrive unit when the truck was loaded.

I just have to get another two weeks out of it, then it'll be replaced with a Mega Viper.

163K, not sure if it has ever been touched. Don't think so.

123,000. Dodge replaced the torque converter at 74,000 because it went out on the ride home from the dealership the day I bought it.

Mines on 196,xxx and is on it's third and last one. I have plowed snow with it and the original owner had a fifth wheel hitch on it so yeah it's been used.

Still got the stocker just about to hit 169k, it towed a 26' boat for the first 8 years of its life and now gets around with minimal towing had it not working right for a day and thats it

mine was rebuilt at 178K....

and i took water into my transmission as well a few months back...fluid was white all the way up the dipstick...drove it 12 miles home with it stuck in 1st gear and slipping bad...

after flushing it out 5 times, with 5 new filters, and a new TPS, my tranny is back to normal...and this was about 2K ago.....been off-roading etc, highway driving, and it doesnt slip at all, shifts perfect....(but when my tranny was rebuilt, if was beefed up with better parts...)

you should try flushing it and see if it helps....

just trying to make things brighter for you...
