Would take a few minutes or so, but yes, that would be highly effective.

pcfixer is right, bleach was the winner on that episode for total engine failure.

I like merc's suggestion. Just crank the high screw in until it bottoms out then back it out about 1/6th of a turn and crank the low screw out a couple turns then crank the idle screw in a couple turns (to lower the idle).
If he did manage to get it started, it would barely run from the high screw not letting enough gas through. If it powered through the high setting then it would have a lot of trouble at idle from way too much gas getting through due to the low idle screw being out too far. And to keep the thing running he would have to have the throttle wide open from the idle setting being in too far.

That wouldn't look like sabotage, you only need a flat head screwdriver to do it, it takes about 20 seconds to do and if you were unlucky enough to get caught then a small claims court couldn't make you buy the guy a new generator along with slapping a vandalism charge on ya.

And I'm with zman, I hope you were kidding about the dog.

go out in the woods somewhere where u wont be bothered. Possibly eaten, but not bothered. Don't see why you would want to possibly ruin someone else's weekend, if you already know that you're likely going to encounter this. I hope u were joing about the dog thing also....

Mothballs.

You dump enough in the gas and the fuel's compound will burn hot enough to burn a hole in the piston.

One or two will just make it run like a ****, but a box or so?

How about just doing what I do? I have been camping at the same campground once or twice a year since 1993 in the mountains along the Georgia/North Carolina border. There are two state run camp grounds going up the mountain. The bottom one is a regular campground, the one three miles up the mountains is designated as a "primitive" campground. No "luxuries", no bathrooms, no showers, no electricity, no nice raised grills, and NO GENERATORS ALLOWED!
If it's peace and quiet you want, find you a Primitive Campground! Also, we've found that the regular campground is always crowded, despite the fact that it has about 40 campsites. The primitive one is the LAST RESORT one for most people and it's NEVER crowded. Unless it's a holiday weekend, sometimes I can hit a spot right on the creek, where I can basically step 10' from the tent and start casting a fly AND still be a couple hundred yards from the closest occupied site...

Take the idle screw out, it wont stay running, he wont have another screw with him thats if he can figure out that its missing while still there.

And the last time I went camping I just sleep in my truck didnt have to worry about no noises, there is no setting up camp or packing it back up
