no you will still have things turning and building up pressure,,,, i would down the drive shatf off the axle and tie it up
I'd disconnect the driveshaft at the axle end.
FWIW, I once hauled my '78 Cherokee around 150 miles (at 55MPH) on a dolly rented from Ryder. I rented the truck to tow it with, too, because it was much cheaper than a wrecker. It was a close fit between the dolly fenders but it worked just fine. The ole Jeep just sat back there like a hole in the wind.
