Default New T-Case is In!!! (Couple Pics)

well finally after over a month Ol' Blue is back on the road.

First off heres pics of the old T-Case....Look how crooked the chain is. And i couldnt get the shaft to move to straighten it out....and i had lots of chuncks of a gear in there....def. blown.

Now for the New T-case. Its a very clean case....Absolutly no cracks like my t-case had. Went over the entire thing, and not one crack.

Wasnt that bad....i benched it into the truck. almost crushed me first time lol, but i was able to manhandle it in. Wasnt to bad.

then i Took her for a ride tonight....Shifted it into reverse, and i didnt feel anything...i thought to myself "o god, somethings wrong" but then i gas it gas and she went. This was the smoothest shift from park to reverse ive had since ive had the truck.

Also went for a ride and it drives like a dream. The speedo isnt working, but i used the one from my old t-case...going to swap it tomorrow with the one that was on the new t-case.

Didnt connect the front driveshaft tonight for i finished and it was dark out. Ill finish maybe tomorrow. But i start my new job tomorrow....so pumped, making $16/hr.

T case is full of castrol ATF4.

Also if people remember i had a hop when turning....well i changed the power sterring fluid and it did it some good for a while then it came back....did it since i owned the truck...Well now, the turning is much different. No hop what so ever. My cornering is much cleaner....must be because when turning the shafts were binding....well shes fixed now!!

Cool. Probably things in the old case were jammed up.... did you put a t-case saver in the new one? Seems like it would be a good idea.

Yeah, I hear ya on that. I get antsy when my truck is down for more than a day... but, I have three drivers here, and two vehicles.... makes life a real drag when the numbers change to 3 to 1.......

like ive said im putting in the t-case saver....just wanted to get her going.

Also I have no speedo, and my Overdrive isnt working....i figure thats because theres no raeding for mph, so it doesnt know when to shift....(get a CEL every time i turn on O/D)...changin speedos tonight and hopefully that solves that problem.

Did you just replace the chain or is that an entirely different t-case?
