Unplug the timing connector, and see if it runs that way.... recheck your timing as well.

That's the first thing I tried. It didn't.
The timing is still right.
After about 4 or 5 hours I tried again and it fired right up.

I think it might be mad about me neglecting all of its leaks and not replacing any of the worn out parts.

I'm going to pull the top of the intake and test the fuel injectors.
A thread on a camaro forum had some talk about the stock injectors being junk.
They say if one shorts out that none of them will work.

I don't think that system was sequential..... pretty sure it was batch fire, so, if one injector goes bad, ALL of them on that bank stop working. Not sure if you can or not...... but, best way to test is to run the engine to operating temp, and then ohm test the injectors... think they are supposed to be around 16 ohms. Too high, and that cylinder simply won't fire, too low, and the OTHER TWO cylinders on that bank won't fire. If you find one bad, you might be able to replace just that one.... if you find two bad, replace them all.

That's pretty much what was being said on that other forum.
They say that they were 16 ohms from the factory and that as long as they're over 12 ohms that they are fine. But there can't be more than 15% difference in the resistance between any of the injectors or the engine will act retarded.

Man, 6 months since all this crap started and I finally got it fixed.
I was ready to change the fuel pump but looking at how big of a job that is I decided to pull the top half of the intake off so I could check the resistance on all of the fuel injectors. I had two at 12.2 ohms, 2 at 12 ohms, 1 at 11.9 ohms and one at 4.6 ohms.
I got a set of remanufactured Bosch fuel injectors online and put them in there. After I hunted down a couple vacuum leaks that thing started running great.

I got a nice little surprise too, I can smoke the tires without touching the brake now that the injectors are all working and the timing is right. Power braking is easy now too, those tires (yes that's plural, lsd rear end ftw) let loose fast with your foot about halfway down on the brake.

Cool that you got it running. Just FYI carb cleaner won't help start a engine lol.

I've started a few small engines (including one that hadn't ran in over 20 years) with the stuff and it worked great, that's why I tried that. Well that and I was out of ether.
