I started outfitting the manifold tonight, and making certain all the stuff I need is present to do this..

I broke out the drem and polished the throat of that TB adapter.. That thing was rough as a bastard.. It isn't no mo- it's as smooth as a strippers fanny..

Also, I had to take a slight ridge off the head side of an injector boss, and went ahead and opened the base up a touch on all of them- it looked like a drip ready to happen, but even that is good now..

I put the gasket on the respective gasket surface/face, and was about to mark it for matching, then I decided I won't do that.. I don't want it matched to gaskets that it might not sit on its entire life.. If I do in fact drop change on that 408, I will likely use this intake as well- and I'd hate to have a hole bigger than a hole so to speak..

Everything is set up to start in the morning.. I should be running an Air-Gap and have a drive report by this time tomorrow eve. I ordered some injectors from five-o, and I am holding out that they arrive tomorrow.. I received the fuel line from Sheriff today, and picked up the fuel injector hose clamps yesterday.. I'd like to do the injectors at the same time, but I'm not the patient type.. If they make it on tomorrows brown truck, they'll make it on my silver truck- otherwise, they'll be red instead...

You'll probably have to trim a little off the end of that fuel line so it will have an arc to it that matches the angle of the fuel rails nips.

thank you for sending the line my way.. I would never even had known I was goofing up without your help.. Thanks for both..

I figure I'll try to match the 'bow' on the new rigging to the old.. I'll surely trim it if I need to.. Sharp blade good enough do you think?

$315 I think it was.. I got the 'stang 4 hole'rs.. 22#r's.. I sold the 24#r's before I even tried them.

there isn't really anything more to setting up the F1 that I've seen yet, it's just I'm **** and bored, which is a bad combo as it turns out.. I don't anticipate any issues except fitting the volant hat over the top of the TB and under the cowl/firewall.. I'm a little worried about that because the gapper sits higher.. I'll come up with something though..

injectors are almost all rated at 43.5psi, which means at our psi of 49 a 22.5 is a little over 24.. that being said, 22#r's would still be capable of feeding most of our engines and still not run over 80% duty cycle.. I had true 24#r's, which would have pushed me over 26#'s at 49psi, and the PCM can't adjust that far, and a tune to shorten the band is difficult w/o an a/f gauge..

the biggest reason I swapped for 22#r's is the design.. a four hole design is better for atomization than the stock single, add to that the quality of the ones inbound are better than the quality of the 24#r's I had.. and dang it, this site is killing my new truck fund, but I want a job done right.. dang it..

I do have a HemiFever tuned SCT.. As far as an F1 though, the PCM is all on its own.. The plenum of that thing is about the size of a box a thermostat comes in (not including the runners volume, which is considerable).. There really shouldn't be too much difference that I can think of as far as the computer learning.. I've wondered about that though, after reading about the 'learning curve' eveyone says happens..

I'm thinking, fwiw, it's the AIT changing locations from the interior plenum to the actual air hat that tosses the PCM for a loop.. That is just a supposition though.. How could the engine possibly know there is less air on reserve? It's got to be that, and then the confusion with the open loop/ closed loop thing that puts the freak on it, right?

No problem. I didn't know what I was doing wrong at first with the supplied fuel line. After getting a regular rubber line rated for fuel I thought I was doing good but cmckenna set me straight about the regular rubber (nitrile rubber) deteriorating over time and plugging fuel injectors up.
A sharp blade will be fine, I used a pocket knife to cut it the first time.
