What convinced you
Ain't that the truth!
I think everyone should, at least once, get to crack the butterflies wide open on a built 440, especially one with an equally built 727 behind it so all you have to do is keep it mashed and enjoy the ride -- and the sore neck afterward that comes from truly wicked shifts. There's something deeply satisfying in that.
My parents used to tease me that their cars went faster because they could pass up gas stations.

LOL, a truth that could equally be carried over to my 5.9
I heard that if I bought a Dodge then woman would seek me out due to my shear sex appeal and want to screw my brains out.
So thats why this mob of women is following me everywhere! Thanks for clearing that up, I was starting to think it was me
That's a highly overrated phenomenon. It's great while it lasts but when you're my age you wish for your brains back. Good thing my other parts still work or life wouldn't be worth living!
The reason I ended up with a Dodge is somewhat funny.
My wife and I decided to buy a boat this summer. Well after researching the boat, found out it was 3,400 lbs. I thought to myself, perfect. Our Mitsubishi Endeavor has a 3,500lbs rating. Well, not perfect. I wasn't thinking about the trailer, 75 gallons of gas or any other equipment in the boat. It's easily maxing out the towing of my 1500.
Anyway, I was pretty dead set on a Ford. Been mostly a Ford man my whole life thanks to my Grandfather. My wife is a Chevy girl. Her dad has always driven Chevy's. We looked for something in our budget and neither of us could find a Ford or Chevy worthy. Finally I saw my Blue Dodge along the side of the road. A little rust on the underside but nothing too bad. Engine ran strong (minus the plenum) and the Tranny and Four Wheel Drive worked great.
So without my wife even ever seeing it I bought her with Cash and took her home. Been the best truck really and I'm sure to be buying another when this one is done. She's still young though... 133k miles. Not bad for $3,000 I don't think.

(Just kidding!)
That, and I was really drunk at the time.
