2nd gen Power Wagon equivalent?
Yeah, my bad. I was thinking with new gears too, as nobody would throw in a set of lockers and not regear... but then I wasnt thinking about the "on the cheap" part either.
Well in my B2 I have hubs that unlock so in 2wd it isn't doing anything, even with the hubs locked and the t-case in 2wd the locker still can't lock since there isn't any power going to it. I was actually refering to driving in 4wd in the snow. I kept hearing people say a front locker will put you in the ditch and you can't steer, blah blah blah. So when I actually started using my rig in the snow I was pleasantly surprised at how well it drives.
I made this video to demonstrate that it handles just fine.

Thank You Sir!
I've researched and using Quadratec I could get a really nice Ruby with what I want for 1k in upgrades.
He said a $1000 in upgrades... not complete package. Pay attention!!!!!
Yeah, a Rubicon would be a great choice for you. You literally don't have to do any mods and you have an extremely capable rig. About the best thing you can do for them is a little lift and larger tires to gain some much needed ground clearance.
i have a 2500 regular cab long bed and i made it through the rubicon better than most the jeeps that went with me. when i did that i had stock suspension with the rear overload spring out and the sway bar off. 35" bfg all terrains, 4.10s. front and rear posi, and rock rails.
Kudos to you for making it at all, no matter your rig. When I was there last it took more driver skill than rig capability.
yea forsure its skill. i used to have a built cherokee but i got rid of it for the fullsize cuz its much more fun. cadillac rock is still pretty damn hard though.
in the next few months ill have a long arm with kore spring and leaf pack or chevy 63s. 37s and 5.13s. and much better armor. im still at stock height and i put some military 37s and they looked small so maybe a little bigger.
