They have random vehicle checks or something? Why waste the time stopping at the store..buy the booze the night before. sheesh. Not that I would ever condone this type of behavior. Hey, at least our tax dollars are keeping the small liquor stores in business. Gotta look at the positive side. LOL.

So would it be okay if a brain surgeon went behind the hospital after a surgeory and had a couple of beers and puffed the magic dragon, then went back inside and operated on your brain? It doesnt matter if they work on your head, or install the trim panels a truck, its not a great idea. Plus think about the general public opinion about it: "Dont buy a Dodge, they let drunks build them".

with the $$ that comes with a job, comes the level of responsibility- which is indicative of the employees expected character and integrity.. well, in every business but the highly unionized- which covers auto manufacturing for certain anyway.. those bozos can do what they want and have no real concern for backlash... Sad, no?

it's been said that 30% of the purchase price of a new American vehicle goes to fund retired auto workers.. floggin' amazing.. what a life..

you can't compare brain surgeons and auto workers. a brain surgeon go to school and gets paid extremely good to do what he does as were a union auto worker don't go to school for there job and gets paid decent. i would sooner buy a dodge built by a team of drunks than a gm product.

Many, many people go to work stoned and you would never know it... being drunk on the other hand is a bit harder to hide. Those guys must of made the ram i had, i thought it smelled a little weird

there are so many variables like how much they have had to drink or the size and weight of the person. the more you have to drink the more obvious it is that you have been drinking. i have worked with people that would drink while there working and they could work just fine.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen , but do you really need beer and weed to take the edge off on your stressful 8 hour shift at a job and pension you only have because the taxpayer has paid for you to have that job? In my opinion if you need to slam beers and smoke gagers on your lunch break , there are probably more discreet ways of making that happen, although I understand we are not dealing with Rocket Scientists . I thought I would share this video as it makes me a little angry as I am Drug and alcohol tested on a regular basis as I travel into the States and there is zero tolerance . Meanwhile these guys should be just thanking anyone and everyone that they still have a job let alone a pension , benefits and a ridiculous wage . Another part of me just wants to laugh at how bright those workers looked .

Wolfie, what was I thinking! You're 100% right! Anyone can go into work slightly buzzed and its okay because they dont make as much money as a brain surgeon! Makes perfect sense!

They can do whatever they want after hours. I would have no problem with a beer or a cigarette on a lunch break, either. But the way they chugged those things? And Mary Jane too? Give me a break.

They should have called the cops out there, see if anyone was over the limit (at least embarrass them if nothing else), maybe even arrest them (or just fined, not sure on Michigan state law) for the drugs.

Even if they aren't fired, suspended without pay is not a walk in the park.
