i don't see much of a problem with what they are doing. it is on there lunch break and it is only 1 or 2 beers. usually with 2 beers your blood alcohol level is still within the legal limit.

drinking and working on a vehical is putting someone else life at risk thats cool ?

i wouldnt want to pay someone to have a buzz half the day of work.

I have no problem with having a good time , having a few wobbly pops and self medicating , however when you have an excellent union job and are more than likely overpaid and your company needs millions in bail out money and your using you half hour lunch brake to smoke spliffs and chug beers you deserve what you get . I mean common, work your 8 hours , collect your massive check courtesy of the tax payer and drink and smoke in the park afterwards . Am I crazy for having this opinion?

Because of course having a beer or two while working is nothing us shade tree mechanics have ever done, and none of us has ever found a mind-numbing factory job to be cause enough to catch a little lunch-time buzz. Nah, that **** never happens.

Go hang out in the neighborhood around your favorite defense contractor's facilities, or in your favorite war zone. All those guys are stone cold sober, you betcha.

I can honestly say I've never witnessed anyone boozing/blowing when lives are tangibly on the line or when the threat is real and present... those guys are a dang hoot out of the zone though, and many are known to self destruct when they're pulled from the game..

bad leadership allows things like that to happen pretty much plain and simple. well, that's my opinion anyway.

And what's really funny? Even though those actions are in DIRECT violation of company, AND union policy, they CANNOT get fired for it........
