Default pics of lift- I'd appreciate your opinions! thanks...

Howdy.

(I put this exact post over in the third gen board too, I know you guys better and yall know what all I've done to this rig- I'd really value your opinions too- thanks)

I finally have some pics of the lift to share.. Tell me straight, do the tires look too small?

here is some background-

I leveled it w/ 2.5" rough country keys.. (torsion bar).. didn't like that at all.. Had a slight rub at full lock-up, and couldn't turn and compress suspension at same time w/o huge CLUNK.. that- I hated.. So, I lifted..

4-5" Rough Country front.. used the rough country level keys because I had tossed the OE keys.. and, it adds to the lift- so it is more than 5" w/ the torsion bars set like they were pre-level... For the rear, I used skyjacker easy ride +3" leaves over-top a 2" block.. I'm really thinking about losing the block all together.. the new leaves brought me back to stock height from the collapsed/used leaves, and added 3" all by themselves.. I have dead nuts 5" in the back, and I have the same 'rake' I had before the level.. w/o the blocks, I think it will be dead level again..

here is a comparison between the two:

Here are some more pics- please, don't be shy, tell me what you think!

thanks.

appreciate the feed back!! thanks..

I hate those dang blocks.. the OE leaves looked like a floggin' lazy 'S' when they were on it, and I had 3" blocks on the rear in the 'leveled' pic above.. I dropped the OE leaves for the superlift leaves and hesitated w/ the 2" blocks.. They are absolutely going to join Hoffa tomorrow.. the rake is equiv to what it was pre-level kit.. I really don't like that look at all..

thanks again bro.

Gonna agree with the sentiment that the rear needs to come down.

What size tires ya got on there? and what gears?

35"x12.5"; 4.56:1

the blocks go bye bye tomorrow.. I was told the leaves would settle, but one thing I didn't really think about at the time was the torsion bars up front- I can always dial them up or down to compensate for the leaves settling.

thanks for the points guys!

ya know, I never realized how raked that truck is- I swear, it's back to a similar rake as before the level kit..

I just measured..

there is a little indentation in the body panels on that thing.. it runs the entire length of the side.. from just behind the front wheel well to the back of the truck.. I used that as a good reference point and measured..

that bottom of that indentation thing is 34.5" from the ground on the front of the truck, and 38" on the back.. that is a floggin' 3.5" rake.. tomorrow, it will be a 1.5" rake.. hardly noticeable.. dang it..

they still argue they had nothing to do with it..

I went to the alignment shop to get re-aligned after the rear springs went on and I cranked on the torsion bars some.. The mean age at that place is likely nearing 65, and I doubt they do ANYTHING fast.. I don't think it was the alignment shop..

The 'buds' have declared they will purchase and charge me their cost on a new tranny, and install for free- of my choice of tranny's after they provide a list of ones available to them wholesale.. I'm torn on the prospect..
