If there isn't some mechanical reason for the low pressures, yep. Should fix it.

Could the speed sensor in the trans be bad???? I am just throwing this out there, no codes but I have read that this could be the problem. From what I have read speed sensors can cause the same problems I am having.

If your speedometer works, the speed sensor is doing its job.

Truck is Fixed!

Bought the Governor Pressure Sensor, dropped the pan tonight and sitting on the magnet was my forward gear band anchor. That would explain ALOT! So I dropped the valve body and put the anchor back in. Torqued the band to its spec, put the sensor in, re-installed the valve body up, got all my other stuff hooked up, bolted on. Filled it with fluid took it down the road.

At first the truck would takeoff in 2nd... then go through all the gears. But I disconnected my battery after I brought in the shop before I started working on the truck. But after a few stop/go the computer must have re-learned itself enough... now the truck shifts 1-2 2-3 3-4 OD. Everything is cool again.

My brother is having this same problem except he starts out in 2nd gear instead of 1st but he can manually shift it into 1st gear to get going...
