Default Ram update if your interested

Well I am still dumping money into the ram since I decided to not sell it. SO I have located the power loss or at least a major part of it in the plenum. I guess that seal went out again. I had the Hughes plenum one on it but reused the seal so I am pretty sure that the Hughes plenum kit will work still if I replace the gasket, but I decided to not mess with it and let the 210x and the larger bore get some extra ump. I just ordered the Hughes M1 FI manifold, I am pretty excited! Hopefully this will help get the power to the wheels and silence that vacuum issue once and for all. Then all I need is some roller rockers and heads...but gotta save up for those.

Hope everyone else is having fun with their trucks, the snow storms here in OKC where quite a blast with the ram.

Also if anyone is familiar with u-joint issues on the front d-shaft I still am having problems installing mine.

Finally if anyone wants a kegger with a Hughes plenum kit on it pm me.

Needs a tune and a couple of other things. Anyone know what the best heads (aluminum) to use with the 210x cam? KRC is out of business and never replied to my email.

KRC is now Watson Performance. They aren't real up on their customer service though...... I would find someplace else to buy from.

Does anyone have the full specs for the 210x cam? @360 Price is enticing however I really would like some weight reduction and think aluminium is the way to go.

This is just my .02 cents

The reason they make IRON heads is because the aluminum is prone to cracking...like our stock heads.

From an older post here, I assume you are talking about the KRC cams?

This is the specs for the 206x: 206/212-480/512 110

and this is the 210x: 210/220-512/512 110
A quality set of aluminum heads will be more reliable than the factory iron heads.... and allow a bit more compression before running into spark knock. Weight savings is just a bonus, not that I think the few pounds will make any sort of noticeable difference...... these trucks are just heavy.

Every 100lbs is 1/10th of a second. If ur gonna start shaving lbs, gotta start somewhere right?

That being said, I agree with HeyYou, the aluminum heads will mostly benefit with compression and reliability than weight. Again as he said....these trucks are heavy 20 lbs or so wont be noticable in your pants.

Of course those things too, thanks for the specs HeyYou. Any heads that you recommend that work with the 210x, is clearance really an issue with this mild of a cam?
