Default Extreme 4x4 96 ram

So i finaly got around to watchin the extreme 4x4 on powerblock this morning and they had the ram that got 16.5 mpg. I was shocked when they got the dana 60s and they were an excact fit! If this is realy true, im throwing some dana 60s under my green truck and im also gonna put the lock out hub set up.

There was a thread on Pavement Sucks I believe, where someone used hubs from a Ford to do the free spin conversion.

I had the conversion done on my little Amigo years ago. That helped me to get over 20mpg when previously it would avg around 17. If its not too expensive or difficult to swap out, I'd say its worth it in a daily driver.

Cheapest I have seen is over 700 bucks....... if you were to score the parts from the scrap yard off the appropriate year ford, it would be cheaper.

EMS offroad also sells a hub conversion.

They also sell one for D-44s as well, so you don't have to buy the D-60s
