Default Bought a car!

Well, the wife and I went out car hunting for her today, and ended up coming home with an 07 Mazda 3 GT, 2.3L auto with manual mode (which is actually quite fun to play with!), fully loaded inc. heated leather and power moonroof! She had her mind set on a MAzda, and we tried out a couple others with manual trannys and 2.0L engines, and although we both wanted the 5 speed, once we tried out this GT we couldn't go back to the other ones! Works amazing and is soooo much fun to drive, tons of snap outta the little 2.3! And the extra options are nice too!

Got it for around 11, and the payments will be cheaper than her putting fuel in dad's Ram or the Blazer.... Now as soon as I sell her Blazer I gotta pick myself up a cheap little car for myself just for work, runnin the Ram is killing me in fuel, and killing it in mileage lol... This is the first car we have actually went out together and bought from a dealer, and is the newest either of us has ever had. Got a 2 yr warranty with it too, with an extra 2 years if no claims are made in the first 2! NEVER have we had any type of warranty on a vehicle (other than the warranties on the parts I am always changin haha)! She has been like a kid on Christmas since we got it haha, technically yesterday now but we picked it up right before I went into work for the night so it's still today for me...

Nice car! It will treat you guys well.

My wife and I leased a 2007 Mazda 6... great car, great mileage, looked great. I really do miss that car, even more than the Grand Prix GTP.

I agree with purpl though, they sure fawked up the look of the new ones.

This chick I was dating not long after I got divorced had one. She loved it and it got great gas mileage. I didn't like it too much, but mainly because at 6'3" and close to 275 lbs. I didn't fit in it too well, LOL...

That's a cute car, and I'm sure it's nice, but doesn't it feel like your *** is about to drag on the pavement when you're driving it?

Welcome to the Zoom Zoom club. I've been searching high and low for a good Mazda forum. Be advised that the 2.3L uses a filter cartridge rather than a spin-on filter. I'm still able to get 30+mpg with my Mazda 3 Hatch. The one aspect I don't like is the delay in 1st & 2nd when romping on the pedal; otherwise, at high speeds acceleration is quick, and handling is awesome.

Thanks guys! Still finding features on it, like the AUX input in the console and freakin adjustable headlights via a dial on the dash! We got this one for what they were asking for the lower trim manual tranny models, so we basically traded a 5-speed for a buuunch of options. And this is our first car not purchased off of Kijiji or from someone we know, so we figured we should get something we are happy with and will take care of. AND, in the next month I will spend waaay more money on fuel for my truck than the cost of the new payment and insurance increase combined! Driving a 360 Ram to work everyday is deadly on the wallet, TWO was just retarded. I wish this damn snow would hurry up and melt so I can get my faithful ol Hyundai out and get it back on the road! Don't worry, I still love the ol Dodge and won't part with it haha

Mad Scientist, I loled pretty hard at that haha! And VW, I did a quick google search and found Mazda3forums.com, which looks like a good site full of info like this place, and they have like 75000 members. Haven't registered yet, but I plan to...

Ha, very true! I will say that even after a 10 minute drive, it feels like I'm driving a tractor trailer when I get back in my truck!

Cool beans, Maxx! Here are pics of mine again. I LOVE this car. The only drawback is the rubber bands on the rims have little traction on snow, but when the pavement is very warm, they stick like glue. I take mad curves at 80mph+.
