Any tricks for straitening the bed behind cab?
You guys know any tricks for straitening the bed behind cab of the truck??
Mine was smashed in enough to rub the cab on occasion when I bought it.
I managed to use a 2x4 to get it off the cab , but would like to straiten it out.
Thanks
Even thought about taking it off and adding a light weight flat bed if I could find one.

Mine is bowed toward the cab too from a hard stop with a Chevy torque converter in the bed that wasn't strapped down. I thought I got rear ended until I saw the transmission fluid on the rear window. Mine isn't touching the cab though.
I would say take the bed off and lay a 4x4 on the bend then get happy with a sledge hammer. Is the bend on the front of the bed or on the outside of it? I am thinking it's on the front from something sliding in the bed.

I would find a nice size tree back up to it wrap a chain around it and hook on a come a long > on either side of the creased area of the back of the bed drill thru with a eye bolt on each side using large washer for strength. put a chain between the 2 eye bolts and the attch the come a long. then start cranking on the come a long slowly till it has pulled the bed away from the cab. Just a thought
Mine gets bent there from hauling my wheeler around with a tire wedged in front of it to keep it off the window, but I can just grab it and yank it back straight. A former member here (Miami_Son) and maybe some others have welded or bolted some metal across the front of the box to stiffen it up, this is what I plan to do with mine...
Thanks hb, but those are actually BF Goodrich A/T's, got em of kijiji for half price with only 1000kms on em!
