Yes the stock cooler does do a good job. I don't know how much you have used Tiger Direct but from the PC enthusiast sites I lurk, its not the store to be ordering parts from. Just a FYI

well this is a subculture I don't know anything about..my computer skills go as far as when it gets loaded with dust I take the side cover off and lay it in the front yard, fire up the gas leaf blower and create a huge dust cloud.. you should see the look on my neighbors face.. I think he's an IT guy.

lol. i would never have thought about using a leaf blower. as long as it works that is all that matters. every couple of months i drag all my computers on the main floor outside to be cleaned with the airline from my compressor. it is funny that the computers that run in my basement never seem to get dusty.

If the leaf blower has not caused any problems then. I would not personally use it as all it takes is a tiny amount of static discharge and you have dead pc parts. I'm taking so small of a discharge you can't feel it. I am would also amuse you do this lawn car to your PC in a clean area. You don't want a rocks pounding on the parts. Tiger direct is okay until there some kind of issue with the order. That's when you will have wished you ordered from New Egg.

Let me send you a couple long hair cats....... You will have dust galore.

I use the compressor as well. Works great, just don't use full pressure.

thanks but there is already 7 cats running around and having difficulty getting along here where i live.

whats wrong with using the compressor at full pressure. i cleaned my computers out with about 90-110psi because that is where my compressor likes to be.

I use my shop vac to clean my computer out.
I put the tiny adapter on it (about 1/2") and plug the hose into the exhaust port on it. I like the fact that it's filtered air so there isn't any debris (or water) getting blown out.

yes. laptops can be even worse because sometimes you have to completely take them apart just to get at the heat sync to get all the dust out.
