Default Which Should I Get

Ok so i gutted the cat a week or so ago, and have had my muffler like right after the cat, and im not liking it, now i would like to get it redone again, and put my flowmaster 40 back on. so should i get it dumped back off in front of the rear axle again? or should i run duals out the back. My reason for this is i wanna kill a little bit of the raspy sound by puttin the 2 chamber 40 back on, and run it out the back so the drone dies down a hair, but is 250 to much? or is it a fair price, or should i go for the dumped for 80?

Price for dumped at axle $80
Price for full up duals with tips and all $250

Tell me what ya think. I need to know by monday.

What about "Other"? (they pay me extra to be difficult.......)

There was a thread not so very long ago, about exhaust dumped in front of the rear wheel, leaving deposits, and such, on that wheel, making it a bear to clean. So, how about a single dumped right behind the rear wheel?

Oh, just dumped at the end of the muffler, under the bed? not coming out from underneath? That would work. Law says it has to exit behind the passenger compartment, it doesn't specify anything beyond that. So, base your decision on your budget, and if you have anything else you would rather spend the money on.

You'll learn to hate an exhaust dumped before the rear axle. Get a factory tailpipe, and hook it up to your Flowmaster. Sweet, sweet music outside the truck and when you get on it, while keeping in-cab sound levels down. Plus the factory tailpipe just looks clean and simple.

Take it out the back on 45s out the side! I had my 40 series dumped at the axle with a turn down and it sounded like ****! I love my set up I have now

dumping it down creates a terrible dust cloud if you drive any on dirt roads. i wouldn't ever do that (again). i think exhaust belongs behind the rear wheels, either turned out like factory, or straight out the back.

$250 seems a little high for pipe work only and no muffler. where are you? can you shop around a little more. i think $125-150 sounds a lot better for less than 1 hours worth of work and a couple of sticks of pipe.

my exhaust goes like this.....Hollow Cat, then a Cherry bomb turbo muffler, and it ends right there.....i dont have the muffler hooked to the rest of the tailpipe, and it sounds great, no drone in the cab....

But for your poll, id do the tailpipes....ive always loved that look of two nice tips commin out the rear

i also vote to take it out the back.... i had mine dumped in front of the rear tire once.. liked it for a day. then like purp mentioned, i learned to hate it.. for multiple reasons. so i changed it and have been much happier
