One of the main problems in the US economy is the Fed being so concerned about reigning inflation and instituting a policy of inflation management and not allowing deflation to take effect.

Japan has been in an era of deflation for almost the last decade thus enabling the Japanese consumer to have greater purchasing power.

 

Yeah, but, if the value of the dollar decreased, that would cut into corporate americas profit margins, and CA isn't likely to let washington allow that to happen.
