Default grease gun loading

Finally built some wooden ramps and got a grease gun and some grease.... now how do you load it..... which end does the grease go in..... both ends unscrew..... bottom has a little plunger on it and top has the hose that goes on the fitting? zerk? nipple? what do call them?
Grease is Napa chassis lube.... how full do you pack the gun..... I have 18oz tub.

Pull plunger back and twist it till it locks back, unscrew top part with hose, drop grease tube in, unlock plunger with a twist and ready to go.

Atleast thats how mine works

First, grab the handle on the end opposite the hose, and pull it all the way out, you should be able to move it to one side a bit, to lock it in place. Unscrew that end of the grease gun. Grab your tube o' grease, and remove the caps on both ends. insert the entire cartridge into the grease gun. Screw the end cap with the handle back on. Make sure it is not cross-threaded, and is on tight. (no tools required though...) then release the end handle, to put pressure on the grease. Pump the gun a couple times so you get a bit o' grease out the end. Grease gun is now ready for use.

Did you buy a tube of grease or a tub for hand packing?
IIRC a standard grease gun tube is like 14.2 oz or something weird like that.

If you got a tub i'd return it, and get a tube. Hand loading a grease gun sucks unless you have a bulk loader system. But even then you have to deal with burping air out of the gun while using it.

If its a tube
pull plunger till it locks
take off trigger end(hose end)
pull plastic cap off tube
drop open end into gun (if it doesn't go in all the way the plunger isn't back enough)
Now peel metal tab off
screw trigger end back on till hand tight, then back off 1/4 turn
release plunger
squeeze trigger till grease flows, now retighten the trigger end.

Leaving it loose in the begining will help purge the trapped air in the end of the new cartridge

well in that case since it's such a small tub pull the plunger as stated and then start packing the gun by hand, (pretend that you are putting the tube in LOL)
If you don't have a bleeder on the top then leave the trigger end loose cause you will most certainly have air trapped in the gun, a little may ooze out but just tighten it before storing it, all will be ok.

Is that Bonaire in DWI?

ya more than likely, most of the factory u-joints and ball joints are sealed so you just wait for them to wear out rather than giving them grease to help them last lol

OK, the saga continues.....
If the ball joints are factory sealed and are groaning..... is this something I could reasonably be expected to replace myself?
Also the truck squeaks going over uneven roads (read entire island).... bed springy kinda noise.... is this coil springs?.... leaf springs?? I regularly haul 500k+ of coral at a time.
Final note..... instructions for loading the grease gun were right there on the gun.... buried under years of embedded crud..... load here with arrow to hose end..... yup! we dont read instructions either.
