with 4.88's and 35" tires, i wonder if it will still be able to cope with highway speeds?

just thinking to myself...

Will put RPM's about 2-300 higher than stock tires/gears.

about three weeks ago I put the truck on the road for the first longish haul with the 4.56's.. I was a little disappointed.. I actually got lower MPG's than I do around town.. but we're also talking 75MPH..

there is a balance in there somewhere.. If you only push about 65MPH there is still a gain economy wise methinks..

w/ 4.88's, methinks that balance may be south of 60MPH though.. it surely depends on what type of driving you're doing.

btw- my vac gauge was reading -15bars at 65mph, and around -12bars at 70mph.. the engine isn't loaded at all, it just comes down to all those RPM's and the fuel needed to turn it that fast..

At 55 with od off I'm turning right at 3k with od on about 2k. It pulls great though. Can't wait to be able to get in it.
