about three weeks ago I put the truck on the road for the first longish haul with the 4.56's.. I was a little disappointed.. I actually got lower MPG's than I do around town.. but we're also talking 75MPH..
there is a balance in there somewhere.. If you only push about 65MPH there is still a gain economy wise methinks..
w/ 4.88's, methinks that balance may be south of 60MPH though.. it surely depends on what type of driving you're doing.
btw- my vac gauge was reading -15bars at 65mph, and around -12bars at 70mph.. the engine isn't loaded at all, it just comes down to all those RPM's and the fuel needed to turn it that fast..
