Default Passenger air bag cover

I've tried to get above cover off to no avail. Is there a trick, some tab to stab or something else. I want this off to get closer to the heater doors and related stuff!

I think the cover is physically a part of the air bag. Careful with that, those guys can lend WAY too much excitement to your life.

You'll need to remove the inner panel of the glove box to get to several large bolts that hold the airbag. I'll trust you've already unhooked the battery...otherwise this device is armed! If you just removed the negative cable wait about 5 minutes. Supposedly this drains the capacitors in the firing system.
There's a wire harness that goes to a plug just behind the ashtray and has a locking tab system on it. You'll need to pop the tab then you can unplug the harness. Then remove the mounting bolts.
Handle the assembly carefully...it will slide out of the dash and you can set it where it won't fall or get mishandled.
Assembly is the reverse...
