Good luck in the Navy, PTS and HYT are a bitch though.

BTW Aviation is where its at, you get paid a helluva lot more when you travel, Marines are your bitch and to **** em off cal them "shipmate".

Good luck. Army redleg (field artillery) here. Everyone here is correct about what they said. Especially Drew talking about building a work ethic.

Keep pushing the education, and if you decide to make it a career, know this, YOU are responsible for your career path. Never assume people will do things for you to advance your career or to find job assignments.

Work hard, Stay out of trouble and make sure your records are updated (every 6 months and before you are eligible for promotion), and you will do well.

Spend time in post education centers. Most of the time you can take night classes on post with teachers from actual universities. Ft Sill OK had teachers from Oklahoma University coming to post and teaching at nights. Easy credits right there.

 

If you a fresh outta HS take dantes test, if you pass you don't have to take that college course and you get the credit for the course, you could technically get an ***. with out stepping foot into a class room, electronic or actual.
