Removing the engine to create easier access to the ball joints?, ahahahahahaha. Kinda like removing the transmission to make changing tires easier.

But seriously. Better to remove both the engine and tranny to help get to the ball joints :P

The gas tank is what's really in the way of the ball joints, but it's a PITA to get to seeing how it's inside the dash.

Nah, not too much of a problem, just pull apart the dash board or what few pieces are left and you'll find that gas tank pretty easy

Use some sand to port and polish those heads while you're at it. Just pour it down the throttle body.

And put concrete in your tires for better handiling.
